Ways to make your Phoenix Custom Wine Bottle Labels stand out

1.Appearance

Appearance is the first way to make your wine bottle labels stand out. A few things to look at include color, typeface and graphics.

a. Color

What color best represents your wine bottle brand? Are you dark and sophisticated? Maybe a matte black will best convey that. Are you a blush rosé perfect for a 20 something? A blush pink label may be the way to reach that audience.

At Southwest Label and Printing we can recreate any color on the Pantone Color scale, and can use them to best convey the message you want to get across on your wine bottle labels.

b. Typeface

Typeface, or font style, is another important design characteristic that will make your bottle labels stand out. The font you decide to use can change the whole feel of your product. Big bold letters may convey a bold flavor whereas thin cursive letters can be conveyed as more formal and traditional.

c. Graphics, or lack thereof

Sometimes when creating labels, less is more. On a wine bottle, instead of overloading with graphics, you may want to take a minimalistic approach. Remembering your audience, someone buying wine bottles may be looking for something with an older touch. Using white space to make your text more dynamic is a great way to do this.

What to Include on Your Scottsdale Custom Food Labels

Creating labels for food is a bit more difficult than working with other types of labels. That’s because there are some very specific requirements put in place by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to regulate what information must be included on the labels.

The FDA guidelines can be tough to navigate for food labels; for the benefit of all our customers and potential clients, we’ve provided the basic requirements below.

1.You Must Include a Prominently Displayed Statement of Identity

Consumers in Scottsdale need to be able to tell what your food product is with one quick glance. There can be no confusion as to the nature of the product; that means you need to clearly state what the product is in bold, easily readable print on the front of the food labels.

You don’t want anyone picking up your mayonnaise made with olive oil thinking that it’s a tapenade-type spread made from olives, do you? That would just lead to a bunch of angry consumers who are unhappy with your food.

So to avoid such a mess – and to correctly follow FDA regulations – make sure that your food labels include clear statements of identity prominently displayed on the front.

Scottsdale Custom Food Labels

2.Labels Must Have a Net Quantity Statement

In addition to telling consumers exactly what type of food products you’re selling, you must also let them know the amount that’s in the container. The quantity is most often expressed in weight – usually in ounces and grams. With some food products the quantity can be provided in numeric count (such as 12 cookies) or measure (pints, quarts, gallons.)

According to FDA regulations for labels, the net quantity statement should be located on the front of the labels towards the bottom. It’s supposed to be listed separately from all other information and remain unobstructed by any artwork on the labels.

Keep in mind that the weight provided is for the food product only. The weight of the packaging should not be included in the net quantity statement.

3.There Needs to Be a Detailed Nutritional Panel and Ingredient List

Nutrition facts are required for the vast majority of food products sold in the United States. There are some exceptions, but they’re few and far between.

The statement of nutrition facts must be presented on an easy-to-read panel. The panel should include:

  • How much a serving size is

    Scottsdale Custom Food Labels
    Nutrition facts and measure tape
  • The number of calories contained within each serving
  • How much fat each serving contains
  • The amount of protein per serving
  • The number of carbs included
  • How much sugar is contained in the product
  • The amount of fiber per serving
  • How much sodium is included
  • The types and amounts of vitamins and minerals found in the product

A comprehensive list of ingredients is also required as a part of FDA regulations on labels. If possible, this list should be provided directly underneath the food nutrition panel. If there’s not enough space on your labels for this type of arrangement, you may list the ingredients next to the panel. You must also clearly identify any major allergens that are contained within the product.

4.Labels Must Provide the Name and Address of the Manufacturer, Packer, or Distributor

The primary purpose of the FDA regulations is to keep the American food supply as safe as possible. That’s why it’s vital to have the name and address of the food producer on labels; if there’s ever a food safety issue in Scottsdale, this information allows authorities to trace the product so a recall can be announced and the facilities inspected, if necessary.

Designing Arizona Custom Wine Bottle Labels

At Southwest Label & Printing, we know that your Arizona winery is one of a kind. There’s no one else out there quite like you. And the same can be said for your wine – it’s your own unique creation. So why would you want ordinary, run-of-the-mill labels on your wine bottle?

The answer is you wouldn’t! With the amount of time and attention you give your wine, there’s no way you’re settling for anything less than amazing when it comes to your custom labels.

And for us, that’s good news. We love helping Arizona wineries come up with the absolute best custom wine bottle labels to match their brand. Our team of designers will work alongside you to create a wine label that is as unique and custom as your wine.

With your input, we’ll create a custom label that speaks directly to your target wine customer and encourages them to buy. We have numerous customization options to choose from, including:

The Colors on Your Label

Arizona Custom Wine Bottle LabelsOne of the easiest ways to catch the consumer’s eye and hold their attention is through the use of color. Study after study has shown that color has a pretty significant effect on how products are perceived.

For example, labels with red as the dominant color indicate boldness and passion while a yellow label communicates brightness and youth. Before designing your custom labels, be conscious about what message you’re trying to convey.

Do you want the customer to associate your wine brand with extravagance? Then be sure to incorporate a bit of purple into your label. Are you attempting to convey an image of purity and clarity? Then create a custom label with a nice, crisp white background.

We might not understand exactly how colors came to be imbued with these meanings but that’s not really what matters – the point is to use what we know about the psychology of colors in order to use them to our advantage.

Our designers can help you select the colors that will best represent your brand. And with our high-quality printers, we can recreate any color contained within the Pantone Matching System – that gives you countless custom options!

The Graphics You Use

The pictures that you use on your label can also be customized to your specifications. Our equipment can handle even the most intricate graphics, so you’re free to choose whatever images you please.

Would you like your custom wine bottle label to have replications of modern art pieces on them? We can handle that! Do you lean toward more minimalist forms of expression and want just a single, simple image on your label? We can do that, too!

Whatever it is you’re trying to convey to potential buyers through graphics, our equipment is up to the task. Even if you’re unsure what message you want to send, our designers can also assist you with that. We’re here to help in any way we can.

The Size and Shape of the Label

Wine bottles may come in standard sizes but that doesn’t mean that you’re Arizona Custom Wine Bottle Labelslimited when it come to the label. Another way to customize your wine bottle labels is through its size and shape.

You can play around with some unique custom shapes in order to draw more attention to your bottle label. For example, if you own “Bluebird Winery” instead of having the typical rectangular label that wraps around your bottle, you could use the silhouette of a bird.

But you don’t have to be that elaborate, if you so choose. Even just a small, subtle difference in bottle label shape, like using a standard rectangular label but with a droplet shape cut out of it, can draw the consumer interest that you’re after.

The same goes for label size – try changing it up a bit to further customize labels. Instead of the covering just the middle section of the bottle, why not try a label that runs along the entire height of it? That will certainly make your bottle stand out from the competition!

Awesome Ideas for Phoenix Custom Food Labels

At Southwest Label & Printing, we can print custom food labels to your exact specifications; whatever size, shape, color, or material you’re after, chances are we can accommodate all your requests. If you’re not sure what features to include in your labels to make them stand out in a crowded marketplace, here are a few ideas to inspire your custom food labels:

  1. Use Custom Food Labels with a Unique Shape

Plain rectangular labels may be the standard, but they certainly won’t help your product stand out on a crowded shelf. A great way to create unique and memorable Arizona custom food labels is to have them cut into an unusual shape.

Is your product called “Blue Ribbon Apple Pie Filling”? Then why not have food labels that have been cut into the shape of an award ribbon? This kind of labeling will create a distinct impression in the consumer’s mind – they’ll automatically associate your product with high-quality and are more likely to remember it in the future.

  1. Make the Product Visible Through the Labels

Phoenix Custom Food Labels

Another unique labeling technique that will create a lasting impression on consumers is to make the product visible through your custom food  labels. This is achieved by having either a cut out shape on your labels or knocked out text.

Imagine that the product you’re offering is a specialty whole grain mustard. The labels you create could have a dollop shape cut out of it that allows the customer to see the mustard without having to pick up the jar. The same technique would work if you were selling a cherry blossom tea blend; design a packet with a clear cherry blossom shape in the middle of the labels to highlight the product.

You can also use this technique with lettering. If you’re selling a line of organic juice drinks, you could specify that all of the text on the labels be left clear. That way, the orange carrot juice, green kale blend, and red berry & beet juice can shine through, making a distinct impression on those who check out your product.

  1. Keep It Simple and Don’t Overcrowd Your Custom Labels

It might be tempting to try and make your labels more noticeable by filling it with bright colors, bold fonts, and striking images, but those tactics can often backfire. You have only a few seconds to make an impression on a potential buyer.

If your labels are too busy, it might be hard for a customer to understand exactly what’s being sold. They might just glance over it and move on instead of taking the time to look at the labels to find the information they need.

With food labels, it’s often best to keep the design simple and understated. A simple oval or die cut label with just two or three colors on it could be all you need to get your message across. And with an uncluttered labels, it’s a lot easier for consumers to tell what the product is and what benefits it offers.

Using Arizona Custom Label Making and Packaging to Improve Your Sales

The importance of having high-quality containers and labels can not be overstated – they’re an absolute necessity. Packaging and labeling do so much more than just hold a product and provide consumers with information about it.

Containers and labels are marketing tools. They can be used to attract a potential buyer, help them evaluate the product, and encourage them to make a purchase. Here are a few tips on how to use labeling and packaging to improve your sales:

  1. Choose Packaging that Complements Your Product

Arizona Custom Label Making

Before you even start designing your labels, you need to decide what type of package your product will be offered in. There are a number of considerations to keep in mind when choosing your packaging.

For starters, you need to think about shelf life. Many products, such as vitamins, food, beverages, cosmetics, etc., have a limited shelf life. You need to select a container that will maximize your shelf life without breaking the bank.

You also need to consider the consistency of your product. If it’s a liquid, you probably won’t be offering it in a box. If it’s a powder, a bottle would make it difficult to dispense the product. Choose a container that will allow for efficient storage and easy access to the product.

Even though you have to be practical when it comes to packaging, you can also get a bit creative if you’d like. Remember that you can communicate with consumers using packaging. If you want to draw attention to your product, you could try using a package that is oddly shaped or a unique color.

For example, if you sell honey, you could use a clear glass bottle in the shape of a honey comb or bee hive. Or if your product is a high-end specialty lemon curd, you might select a jar that’s bright yellow – the exact color that people associate with lemons. If consumers automatically associate your package with the product itself, it makes your product more memorable and increases the likelihood that the item will sell.

  1. Take Time to Craft Your Message

Labeling requires more than just slapping a piece of paper on a container. You need to put a considerable amount of thought into your message before creating your label.

Think about this: What type of message do you want to convey to potential buyers? What kind of impression do you want your product to make? What’s the best way to let your buyers know what to expect when they purchase your product?

In other words, let your label speak for you. For example, if you sell chocolate chip cookies that are better than mom used to make, you could have a woman on the label wearing an apron holding a pan of hot cookies fresh from the oven. Or if you provide a kiwi juice drink, your label could show a kiwi sliced in half with a droplet of juice dripping down.

  1. Work with a Professional Designer

Arizona Custom Label MakingYour label and packaging are the first thing that customers notice about your product – and you only have a few seconds to catch their attention before they move on to something else. That’s why it’s important to make a powerful first impression. And to do that, you need professionally designed labels.

You might be tempted to try and cut costs by designing the labels yourself, but you’re doing a disservice to your product and wasting your resources. Working with a professional label designer is well worth the investment.

When you hire a label designer, that doesn’t mean you have to give up creative control. Just tell the designer what you have in mind; with their years of experience and expertise, they can take your ideas and make them reality. If they see any issues with the label design you’ve suggested, they can offer alternatives that might be more consumer-friendly.

What Information Should be on my Arizona Custom Food Labels?

Arizona Custom Food Labels

Food labeling can be a tricky business. Every food product offered in the United States is governed by rules set in place by the Food and Drug Administration. Before you send your label proof to the printers, you have to be sure that it contains all the necessary information to meet the FDA’s regulations.

To help you understand a bit more about what the FDA requires, we’ve provided a brief list of what to include below:

  1. A Clear Statement of Identity

All custom food labels must contain a statement of identity. It may sound fancy, but a statement of identity is the legal way of saying “tell people what your product is.” And let’s be honest, what company wouldn’t want to classify their product clearly?

You wouldn’t want customers picking up your product in the grocery store thinking that it’s salsa only to later discover that it’s tomato sauce, would you? Of course not! You’d end up with a lot of angry people that way.

So follow your logic, and the FDA requirements, and clearly state on the label what it is you’re selling.

  1. The Net Weight of the Product

The FDA requires that the weight of the product be prominently placed on the lower 30% of your Arizona Custom Food Labels. The weight listed only includes the amount of product within the package – it does not take into account the container itself.

  1. A Comprehensive List of Ingredients

In addition to identifying your product and including the weight, you also need to list every single ingredient contained within. It doesn’t matter how large or small the quantity is, every ingredient must be named.

The order for listing ingredients is done by amount. If you make a hot cocoa that’s 48% sugar, 46% cocoa, 5% nonfat dried milk powder, and 1% salt, then you need to place the ingredients in that order on the label.

You also need to make sure you declare any allergens that are included in the product. In the hot chocolate example above, you would have to state that it contains milk, a common allergen. Other allergens that must be labeled include soy, tree nuts, eggs, fish, shellfish, and wheat.

  1. An Accurate and Thorough Nutritional Facts Chart

Arizona Custom Food Labels

  • how large each serving size is
  • how many calories the product contains
  • the amount of fat that’s in each serving
  • how much protein it contains
  • how many carbs are included
  • how many grams of sugar are contained in the product
  • how much fiber is included in each serving
  • the amount of sodium per serving
  • whether the product contains any significant amounts of calcium, iron, vitamin A, or vitamin C

The label needs to be as accurate as possible to allow consumers to make informed product choices.

  1. Address of the Manufacturer

In order to enable traceability, the FDA requires that the manufacturer’s address be included on the label. This information is especially helpful in case any food contamination issues occur.

How Labeling Can Provide a Competitive Advantage

In today’s competitive market, you need every advantage you can get. Of course, creating a great product is the best place to start but you can’t stop there.

With so many items on the shelves, it’s easy for your product to get overlooked. That’s where labeling comes in. A label does so much more than just provide information about a product; it also acts as a lure. Consumers make choices in a matter of seconds, which means your product label has to be both eye-catching and informative.

There are several ways that labeling can help your product stand out. For example, you can use color (or the lack of it) to draw attention to your product. Uniquely shaped labels, distinct fonts, and prominent logos can also make your product more noticeable.
